Tannay

Amsterdam

Part of the Caron restaurants, a small restaurant where everything revolves around the essence of flavor.

Back to references

On the edge of Amsterdam's Realeneiland lies Tannay, a restaurant where classic French cuisine comes to life with contemporary finesse. Chef Thomas Demuth, who grew up in the village of Tannay in Burgundy, brings his culinary heritage to the city with a menu that is both refined and timeless.

At Tannay, you can dine in the kitchen, and there is also a semi-private room for groups of up to 16 people. In summer, the terrace offers plenty of space for al fresco dining by the old drawbridge.

This restaurant has a unique atmosphere because guests sit right next to the kitchen to eat. This allows you to see the entire meal being prepared right in front of you. This also presented challenges in terms of where to place the kitchen.
